I created an update to my first app, but I made it as a new app file (they have different names: ex. 'Candy' and 'Candy_2'. How can I change the certificate on my second app to match my first one so that I can upload it to the android app store as an update instead of as a new app entirely? Thanks.

You should use the same package name and identical certificate.
