how to add tooltip to the image

i am building native app. i have page with small images. when i mouse over the image the image(icon), i want to display tool tip is it possible.
please let me know asap

You can add 'title' HTML attribute but I'm not sure how you will make it work on the phone, as there is no mouse.

I agree with you. Other option is addeding text just below the image/icon
Kindly advice is there any way i can text just under the image. please help.
