can I create my own graphical UI, not change just color or use themeroller

I See a lot of discussion on changing colors and using theme roller for custom ui. When I ask about custom ui, I mean changing the actual graphical orientation of the ui, shapes, sizes, own personal graphics with InkScape...is there any way of doing this? Is there a reference site that explains canvas guidelines? Can Appery.io provide a reference to canvas guidelines for InkScape or any svg. Illustrator... I'm new to jquery and I have been looking all over for the answers, I want to be able to create my own look entirely, I don't want to just change colors or radius, I want the buttons and drop down, and nav bars to have own custom look to not look at all templatish if that's a word....I want to create my Appery.io app with ui that fits exact to androids guidelines...how do I do this?

Hello,

Appery.io uses jQueryMobile UI components as a base http://jquerymobile.com/. Every component is based on HTML, CSS and JS. Thus, you can modify any element with custom CSS or JS.

Thank you for the response. Do you know of it being possible to draw svg. Graphics using InkScape and changing the XML code that is automatically rendered for traditional browser based websites to work with the jquery mobile ui? If not possible... What eBook would you suggest on learning CSS for jquery components/widgets? I'm coming from the eclipse platform which allowed me to just upload PNG. Graphics so I was trying to find out if there was a possible way of uploading my own custom graphics In a similar manner ... I looked at the jquery site but it was a little overwhelming as it discussed very briefly about actual custom graphics but didn't provide much detail.

Hi Michael.

Sorry but there is no known ability to make UI with svg or canvas in appery.io using jqm components.

You also can create your own UI with canvas or svg but if you will you can't to use jqm componens and mapping functionality.

Also you can change view of jqm components in accordance to your needs(not only background and corners) with editing manualy a CSS file.

In this way appery.io functionality will work.

So please show us an example of component which is you want to get. And we will help you to get it with css editing.
