Barcode Scanner not opening

I cannot get the barcode scanner to work. The scanner does not open when I click the button.
How do I get it to open and scan a QR code to open a URL?

I followed this tutorial, although I have not done anything to the mapping as it is different from the guide:

When testing the app nothing happens if I click the button, I have added the event to invoke service barcode scanner on button click.

The only function I require is that the scanner opens and can scan QR codes which open the URL website automatically.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Dean,

Please specify did you export app to binary and then install on the device?

FYI: this functionality could work only in phonegap app.
