Push notification in a progress project

could someone please describe in detail to use push notifications in a progress project? The tutorial is not helpful as a progress project differs from the standard tiggzi project.

since i am new to mobile development, i have no idea how push notification works.
i read the tutorial to send push notification. i got how to register for push notification. but i could not get how to send a push notification or handle received notification from a project built with progress id. the tutorial describes to send push using backend services button. in a progress project, backend services are not there.
So what i want to know is how to send and handle push notification using java script code on success of some event?
also, what are the requirements to send and recieve push notifications like services etc and howto create them? Could you please explain in details?

Unfortunatelly it's not implemented yet on Progress, so for now there is no way to send Push notifications.
