Push Notifications

Do Push Notifications go via Appery Backend Services?

I recently cleaned up my Appery App. One of the things I did was to unlink the Push Notification from its Appery Database as I was under the impression that this backend Push and Database was only for sending Notifications from the App

On reinstalling the new build on my 2 devices, the Push Notification Registration failed on both IOS and Android

Relinking the Appery backend Push Notification and Database resolved the issue

When my App is finally released to my clients will all push notifications to my App go via Appery or am I missing something

Push Notifications

Hi Steve,

Yes, Push is a part of Appery.io backend. You can also use any third-party service: http://docs.appery.io/tutorials/#Usin...

Push Notifications

Hi Katya

I just assumed when the app was installed on an iphone that any push notifications would go from Apple Push notifications service straight to the phone and Appery would not be involved

Likewise for Android

Steve,

It depends on whether you use Appery.io backend or not.

Push Notifications

Hi Katya

I have a backend database and Push Notification which I initially set up when I was learning Appery features

Push Notifications get sent to the App from my windows business Application via the Apple / Google Push Notification Services

So do I just need to delete the Appery Backend Database and Push Notification and rebuild the App to get the Push Registration to work?

regards
Steve
