Events push notifications App help!

Advice please! I wish to create an app the contains push notifications for events. What i need to know is what is the best way to input the events? could i use a Google Calendar to call from? any thoughts and ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Basically I want to be able to have a simple input system of events which i can use to send push notifications to users who are subscribed to hear about certain events on my app. Im starting from zero here so any suggestions would be great. If possible id like to be able to call from a website where the events would be, like in a calendar

How did you implement the push notifications?
I'd suggest you try the QuickBlox API - I use it by myself and find it really useful.

This quickblox looks very interesting. I just signed up for the free account and am excited to get started with it. Just wanted to know how it's working out for you and if you can offer some advice on getting it up and running, also If the Appery staff is reading this Quickblox would be a great service to partner with to have built in plug-ins for many features that almost every user would use in there app, just a thought.
