How do I keep the Selectmenu Widget from opening to another page to show the items?

I have a select menu widget that shows all the Fb user friends in the list. When I click the list it shows the list of friends on a different page. I understand that it does that when the list has a lot of items. Is there a way to stop it from opening to another page. Maybe having the list to be fixed but scroll-able like a the list widget in a html component can be?

What do you mean "select menu widget"? Could you please clarify?

Try to tick "Native Menu" option in the PROPERTIES panel.
