Effective Aggregation in Appery

Looking at this thread" https://getsatisfaction.com/apperyio/...
it appears that Appery does not support any mongodb aggregation functions at all.
If an app reaches any kind of scale this potentially becomes a real problem with having to transfer large amounts of data out of the database to be processed in a server side script - merely to calculate the sum of a number of values.
Is there any workaround in the server side scripting environment for this problem - are there any near future plans to support aggregation in the API ?

Wondering if you have found a work around to this issue? I am running into the same problem since I would like to return an average from a query.

No - no solution. I decided not to use the Appery database/server side tools. Rolled my own as REST services.

Effective Aggregation in Appery

Hello, wondering if any of the aggregate functions have been implemented. I am looking for a way to sum up values from a result list without having to do it manually on the client side.

It's not implemented, still in our todo list. We can not say any exact time frame for this functionality. Please stay tuned.
