barcode scanner issues

I am trying to test the barcode scanner and am following the tutorial steps one at a time but when I upload the app to my phone via the QR coded, then press the Scan button, nothing happens. I was anticipating the actual scanner or camera in my phone coming into view. Any ideas??

Hello!

Did you test it on the device as native? It won't work in the browser

Native? I simply scanned the QR code that was generated when I completed the app via the tutorial steps. How do I get it native?
