Generating push API key

Hi,

I am following http://docs.appery.io/documentation/b... in order to generate a REST service which can be called and trigger a push notification.

I open my app, and click on the push button in the toolbar. I am then taken to the push notifications screen but I dont see any way of actually creating/generating the Push API Key. What am I missing?

Generating push API key

Hello! You need to create app which uses Push. You'll see it on the left hand side, select it and follow the tutorial.

Generating push API key

Hi Maryna,

Just to be clear, I cant create a push request service unless I all ready have an app in Appery.io which is 'push enabled'.

Is that correct?

Generating push API key

Hi Katya,

I have push notifications working fine on my App (android, iOS), and now Im developing another app; for this new app, can I use the sender ID and API key from the first one ? or should I create new ones?

Hi Alex,

Yes, you can use them. But I would recommend that you create new.

Generating push API key

Hi there,

I set up the push notif all fine.
(as long as it is under Android) it works perfect.

however, I got the push API key changed recently. then, I hv to update manually the service header X-Appery-Push-API-Key .
I don't remember having reset myself that key.

could you guys tell me how it could be reset ? under what circumstances ?
could I get the new key dynamically into the service header ... ?

thks for your advice, as you can guess it is very much troublesome to update all service headers each time.

best,
Eric
