Please clarify: is it safe to continue development?

I'm unclear as to whether or not I should be continuing my development work while appery.io works to sort out the update/rollback.

Hi RobertJay, I tried doing some things in my project only to find that some things are not working. I could not get EVENTS to work in the Datasource screen nor can I see the test correct. I get the 'cellphone gui' on the page, but gives error within it that page cannot be displayed.
I would suggest if you proceed to do so with caution. The rollback appears to have fractured the previous functionality as well. Sadly.

Thanks Dave - I'm going to hold off and try to survive an expected beating (not unjustified) from my client. Hopefully we'll get an "all's clear" notice soon from appery.io.

Same here. I'm afraid to touch it. So far they seem to just be scratching their heads trying to figure out how to patch it all back together. It must be something like backing up your car AFTER a head on collision and expecting all the broken pieces to simply come back together. Just doesn't work that way. If I were to guess, they will be likely in triage mode for several days. Just speculation mind you.
Hope all goes well with your client. Be careful not to cut yourself short when you set the expectation on an assumed recovery time.

From my perspective, definitely NOT. I've lost the work done yesterday, at the moment I cannot also make the events working. This is getting really ridiculous. Looks like the Appery.io team find it difficult to split development and production version of platform. And the worst thing is that no one is mature enough to say "sorry, we have to close the service for i.e. 48h and fix everything". Rather force customers to waste their time as beta-testers.

Dear All,

It should be safe to continue working. The big problem currently is that all changes made for the last 2 days are not saved, but we are working hard to restore lost data.
We are so sorry about all these difficulties and inconveniences. We really screwed up, and we are very sorry about this situation. Now we are working to double test every updates going forward..

Once again sorry about that.

Dave,

What exactly is wrong with Events? Please let us know if clearing browser cache will help.

No Alena, it is NOT working. I have emailed support about this with Evgenes' response:

As soon as we restore DB backup, we start to restore data in your specific project. We will keep you informed. Once again sorry for inconvenience.

Regards,

Eugene Karachevtsev
The Appery.io Team

Sad but true... the rollback broke almost as much as the update itself did.

Dave,

Just in case you won't receive our emails, I want you to know that as you have shared your project with us, we can take your GUID from there

Under "Data" tab, after selecting service component, there is no event category to choose (only "Select event").
