I built a test app and wanted to share the link to another person with an Android phone. He says it won't work on his phone, yet it works fine on mine (Samsung Galaxy S4). I am using the "Free" account at the moment, is that why?

We can't tell you why it's not working without any additional information. Can you tell us what exactly is not working?
It downloads but disappears shortly after, even though he checked "yes" to install in spite of not being from a trusted source
It's the "HelloWorld" test example in the tutorials if that helps
Please provide information about phone's model and Android's version
It is an HTC One, Cricket provider and version 4.0.4
Did you set correct sdk version in "App settings" ? Did you change any permissions on "Android permissions" tab?
I will check these things.
I didn't change any permissions on the tab, I did click to restore default and saved...should I change the version on the app settings? Right now it is set at 2.2 with the same setting in the Target area...

It's not necessary. You can find more information about Software versioning here:

Are there any errors in browser console when you test your app? Could you send us app publick link?
