February 1, 2015 new iOS apps must include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK.

What impact will this have?

Dear Developer,

As we announced in October, beginning February 1, 2015 new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK. Beginning June 1, 2015 app updates will also need to follow the same requirements. To enable 64-bit in your project, we recommend using the default Xcode build setting of “Standard architectures” to build a single binary with both 32-bit and 64-bit code.

If you have any questions, visit the Apple Developer Forums.

Best regards,

Does the old builder support 64-bit? We are not at a place to update to the new builder at this time.

Just fyi in case ... if you have a 32 bit app - that's already on the App Store (before 2-1-2015) - you still can submit changes to that app - until I believe 6-1-2015 (not sure of that date ... it's only from memory).

The new version of appery builder does not build my app in 64 bit. My app wont submit to apple because of this. Im beginning to have a lot of issues with appery.io im losing faith quickly.

Hello Carlos,

Could you please clarify do you have the Libraries version 2.1 in your app?
