Is ipa file IOS 6 Compliant

Hi

Just wondering if the ipa release build file produced from appery is now fully compliant with io6 or do you still need to build manually with xcode?

When attempting to publish my app, I get a email response from apple advising my binary is not optimised for iphone 5.

I have uploaded all launch images to appery.

This is what the email from apple says. It is received after upload with the application loader.

iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement - Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5. As of May 1, all new iPhone apps and app updates submitted must support the 4-inch display on iPhone 5. All apps must include a launch image with the -568h size modifier immediately following the "basename" portion of the launch image's filename. Launch images must be PNG files and located at the top-level of your bundle, or provided within each .lproj folder if you localize your launch images. Learn more about iPhone 5 support and app launch images by reviewing the iOS Human Interface Guidelines and iOS App Programming Guide.

Hi Andrew,

hit the same message last weekend; check your launch images .png format. Apple has strict rules for icons and launch images. Removing transparancy did the job for me.

Andrew, for now you would need to add launch image for iPhone5 manually through xCode.

I removed transparancy from the launch image and it has passed the iphone 5 validation from apple. App is now waiting for review.

Does this apply to anyone trying to build an ipa now then? Surely appery need to resolve this as a matter of urgency as not everybody has access to Xcode

No, no need to use xcode. iPhone5 is supported by Appery. it's the 640x1136 px launch image. Appery is handling this image just fine.

The application loader's message suggest otherwise but as you can read above, this was because of wrong .png format used. Apple does not like transparancy in it's launch images.
