you're absolutely right, my fault. i've removed the 'nearby' constraint. you should get a response with places now.
uummm nevermind i guess...it's working fine today. swipe transition is occurring and data is not lost. i haven't changed anything. this isn't the first time something like this has occurred, where one second it's working then the next it is without any changes. i wonder if it has to do with chrome caching or cookies or something along those lines.
