I have checked your instructions for publishing my app to Google, however, there are no clear cut instruction in the forum to fix this. Where can I find step-by-step instruction to publish to Google?

You uploaded an APK that is not zip aligned. You will need to run a zip align tool on your APK and upload it again.

I started on this quest more than 13 days ago. My app is completed and was easily accepted on Amazon, however with the links I have received to publish to Google have not been really helpful.
Is there a service, software or one clear cut article that I can use to sign, and zip align my android app? Appery.io has been great up to this point, but I didn't realize that this last step would be such an obstacle....

To sign your app you just need check the “Release” box in the "Android binary" tab. After that you can export .apk file and publish it to Google Play.
