Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Can I optimize my app for both portrait and landscape using appery UI builder? Can I make my UI responsive (like using bootstrap.js)?

Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Hi Joseph -

Appery.io uses jQuery Mobile components and they will resize based on screen size. For more information you can check jQuery Mobile documentation:

Hello Eric,

Please clarify, what issues do you have using Appery.io tester with landscape screen orientation? Do you have the same issues when you install the application on mobile device?

Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Hi, thks for your prompt reply. yes, I shall make my question clearer. here you are:

1/ design view : you'll see the page is made of several compenents :
. html for text and script
. picutre
. video

Code: Select all

2/ html editor: the script fires when mobile is turned Portrait (P) to Landscape (L) and calls js sheet functions

Image

3/ js code : functions, one for P and the other for L in order to call respective CSS to make txt and pics bigger under L view, called by script in html component when mobile is turned P to L or L to P

Image

4/ mobile viewer via QRcode : all that works perfect (very proud of me after 10 days of app dev :-) thks to Appery builder :-) )

Image

5/ mobile tester : however doesn't work under the app tester :-(

Image

thks in advance for your help, my motivation is very low !!!

Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Hi (again),
in fact, it might be not only a matter of the js code above since another page which has no js code firing onturn is also blocked in portrait view even thought device is turn to landscape.
here below is a pic showing landscape view on mobile viewer
when on app tester doesn't work (i mean no landscp view. blocked in portrait).

"could you fix it ?" :-)

looking forward to reading you soon

Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Hi, going over my questions again. just realized that the images above att'd to step 4 and 5 are swapped. sorry about that.
4/ mobile viewer (via QRcode): it works and you can see the image (under step 5)
5/ app tester: it doesn't. the image is displayed portrait but was shot landscape. should hv a second device to take the pic :)
anyway, looking forward to reading you.
best

Landscape and Portrait views.... Responsiveness of UI.

Hello!

I am sorry for a late reply!

Could you clarify if you specified any parameters on App Settings--iOS tab for UIInterfaceOrientation and UISupportedInterfaceOrientations keys?
