direct access to MongoDB

I would need to create BI report out of Appery.io Data services and Collections. Is it possible to connect directly to MongoDB where collections are physically stored?

Hello,

You can use REST API to get data from MongoDB collection. Also you can export data to .csv file and import to your local DB. http://docs.appery.io/documentation/b...

Thanks Igor, actually I am considering a BI reporting product for real time reporting that uses direct connector to Mongo DB.
Do you have any suggestion of BI reporting product that can fetch data using directly REST API?
Otherwise would it be possible to allow as special configuration direct connection to appery.io MongoDB where my collections are stored?
Thanks!
A.

Unfortunately you can't get direct access to Appery.io DB collection. You can use MongoLab for Appery.io app and BI reporting product. Please take a look at this tutorial:

Thanks a lot Igor ... very good option to explore

P.S. As another alternative (that would avoid me use of BI product) I was trying to include HTML5 chart widgets using ChartJS, but I am having difficulties in having even a static pie chart displayed with Appery.io Has anyone tried this before? any tips to share? Thanks again!! A.

I'm not sure if anyone tried to use ChartJS. You can share app with a href="mailto:support@appery.io" rel="nofollow"support@appery.io/a and describe what the problem is and how to reproduce it and we will try to help you with ChartJS.
