Invalid certificate chain error

I'm curious if you can help - I'm getting an error "invalid certificate chain" when I try to to post a notification through appery push to my phone. I believe I set up all the certificates, but it's still not working. The error is "Invalid certificate chain (Received fatal alert: certificate_unknown!) Verify that the keystore you provided was produced according to specs." Also, I don't think it is setting pushNotificationDeviceID and pushNotificationToken because these localStorage variables have undefined values.

Please help! Image Image

Invalid certificate chain error

note that in the second picture, there is no certificate set for "Distribution certificate." There are no options to set when I try it... - perhaps this is the issue?

Invalid certificate chain error

Maryna - thanks for your reply. I've look through this website five times but still can't seem to figure out the issue- all of my certificates look active and correct. Perhaps it's another issue? Is there a way to pinpoint which certificate appery is having a problem with?

Invalid certificate chain error

Have you specified certificate on App Settings--Push Notification tab? If you have and error is the same, looks like something is wrong with certificates. Please check this post and let us know if it helps http://serverfault.com/questions/3262...

Invalid certificate chain error

Thanks Maryna - I uploaded a new P12 and now it doesn't give me an error. However, I don't see any notifications when I use the Push Notifications section of appery (https://appery.io/push/229af455-588b-...). The Messages are saying that they're being sent, but they're not showing up on the phone.

This video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X10z...) seems to suggest I should use a private key to create the p12 file, but your link suggest I should use a public key. Perhaps this is the problem?

Alternatively, I'm using a distribution key for P12 but testing just through my own iPhone connected to appery. Maybe this is the issue?

Let me know what you think and thanks again for your help,

Jonah

Invalid certificate chain error

To clarify, the appery notifications are saying that they are being sent but no notifications are coming through on my iPhone. I checked my phone settings and under Notification Center everything is enabled. Any thoughts?

Invalid certificate chain error

Maryna - I tried installing all my certificates again and now I'm getting the "invalid certificate chain error again."

To answer your questions though, there is a Device Record (see attached) created as soon as the app is opened (although I don't run a Register Device Service, so I'm not sure how this record is being created). Also, the App was installed on my iPhone when I ran it in xCode.

Thanks for your help Image

Hello!

Sorry, one more question - did you add certificate on Push notification tab? Please note, it is different certificate from the one you need to build .ipa file.
