White bar under iOS launch image suddenly appears and disappears quickly before hide splashscreen. Very glitchy.

So I've recently started running into this problem, and I'm not sure what the solution should be. When I open the app, the launch image appears nicely, and then approximately 200ms later, it shifts up by approximately 20px or 30px, and then after another 200ms it switches back down.

Below is the best screenshot I was able to take (it happens really quickly).
Also, I've tried playing with the Status-Bar settings in the iOS Keys Settings tab (UIStatusBarStyle, UIStatusBarStyle, UIViewControllerBasedStatusBarAppearance, UIViewEdgeAntialiasing), but none helped.

Does anyone know of any solutions? I have seen this stackOverflow issue but I can't find a file named CDVSplashScreen.m
In that thread, it seems this issues applies to older iOS versions (and older Cordova versions), so I'm not sure what the equivalent solution would be for iOS 8+ and Cordova iOS 3.9.1

Hello Jon,

Please clarify, do you use Ionic app? If so - please look through this known issue: https://devcenter.appery.io/known-iss...

Any ideas? Places I should look. Haven't made changes to plist, only made one change to config.xml (autohidesplashscreen set to false). So I haven't edited any source files...
Any settings that might be responsible for this weird behavior?
