Geolocation not working on mobile phone...but on browser

I have already gone through the following posts on this forum...and have done the necessary.. that is

-these services are on
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
ACCESS_LOCATION_EXTRA_COMMANDS

  that gps is switched 'on' the my phone and services are called...

  Please let me know what am i doing wrong...It would be also great to know how to get the coordinates when the GPS is not switched on..that is the phone gets location from the cell tower....

Please show us how you set up Geolocation Service.
On what Event do you invoke it?
Do you get any error when testing on device?

the code works fine in a browser however not on the phone... and my gps service on the phone is switched 'on'

Did you change Geolocation code since yesterday?

No the geolocation code has not been changed... on iphone the application is working and getting coordinates however on samsung note 2 and os 4.1.2 it is not.. can u check the reason

So I have checked my device settings as well (and made sure GPS is switched on). All other applications such as google maps is showing me my current location. With or without the GPS switched on the current location of the user should be shown. When I say without the gps switched on , the phone reflects coordinates of the nearest wireless tower, that is how google maps works as well.

But the application is not showing coordinates with either gps swtiched on or off.. this is only applicable in android samsung note 2..I haven't tried other android devices.. the application works in iphone.
