How to add other components to the Registration page/service?

If i wanted to request that a user provide not only a username and password during registration, but also an email and a drop down response...how would I have to alter the mapping/service rendering/user collection?

Just add needed service request parameters and add mapping. Do you have any specific question? What did you try?
