unable to add tabs in angular js app

trying to add tabs above ng-view as per tutorial (https://devcenter.appery.io/tutorials...). it shows disabled with a grey (actually reddish grey) color and not letting me add as in the turorial. (tried adding other components - could only add a button on the corners ie. on header and footer). kindly help.
