your test app only has dimensions up to 640x960. My app is larger so it is harder to get a feel for layout since scroll bars would not be needed on a normal iPad (running landscape). is there a way to test a larger app footprint?

Hi Rich.
You need to disable frame for testing tool.
Please follow these steps:
1 Open test sub menu. http://prntscr.com/3p3cnl/direct
2 Uncheck "Show in mobile frame" checkbox. http://prntscr.com/3p3d4v/direct
Then start your app in test mode again and phone frame will be removed.
So you can adjust browser window with size you need.
Regards.
When I do that it shows it fully wide, so thank you.
Unfortunately, the image on the browser is not the same as the image in the app developer. Specifically, I have a grid which has the text separated from the image on the left in the app developer. On the browser it shows the text overlaying part of the image.
Which way will it render when I publish?
Rich,
Please provide us screen shots of results(app and in the browsers).
And make screen shot from the page in builder.
Also, please give us public link and describe how we can to reproduce the problem.
Regards.
