Auto update runs every single time the app is opened. Bad user experience.

After adding the auto update, the app will look for updates before opening the app. This slows the opening of the app by 10-30 seconds. That is a pretty bad user experience. Is there a way to control this behavior. Like it give a notification to the user to update app or does the sync in background. Otherwise I would rather not use this otherwise very useful option.

Hello,

There are no way to control it with JS. Have you changed the app before run it?

Auto update runs every single time the app is opened. Bad user experience.

The problem is that the app will check for updates every time it is started. Obviously if there are changes, it will download it. But the fact that it checks it every single time and take 10-30 seconds to complete the check whether or not there are any changes creates for a bad user experience.

Maybe an idea should be that it checks for changes in the background and alert the user that there are new updates to the app and let them download those changes. Like what Apple and any other apps do.

Imagine you have users around the world who use the app on a daily basis or ever couple of times a day, they would have to wait every time they open the app.

Hence the bad user experience.

Hello,

We have researched more and come to conclusion that in your case using Appery.io build-in auto update is not a solution.
